    Great advice on this specific and important preparation effort. I’ll add that if a sub manages the day prior to a session a certain way, it can also prepare them in a few other ways. Here’s my recommendation for the day prior:

    1. Wake up early, rested and with a clear mind. Minimize commitments to other people on this day and the day of your session, by taking care of them in advance or coordinating with others.
    2. Workout. Moderate cardio, cross-fit or yoga, that includes an ab workout and stretching. Do not do a workout that causes soreness or stiffness afterwards.
    3. Have a smoothie with fresh fruit and a multi vitamin. Include flaxseed powder (good for the digestive system) if it’s in your pantry.
    4. Have a healthy/balanced breakfast and lunch. Lunch should be a smaller portion.
    5. Dinner should be early and include pasta in a regular size or slightly larger portion. This meal is intended to be a source of stored energy for the first half of the next day.
    6. Go for a 10 minute walk.
    7. Go to bed early enough to get at least 8 hours of sleep and still wake up at least 4 hours before you need to leave home in order to arrive at your session on time.
    8. Wake up on the day of your session and do 50 repetitions of a moderately strenuous ab workout. End the workout.
    9. Have 1 or 2 cups of freshly brewed coffee, read a news paper, relax and answer mother nature’s call (the ab workout followed by coffee, should produce the desired result).
    10. Do what Domina Victoria described.

    Following all 10 steps should result in a person being more holistically prepared for a session: rested, relaxed, focused, energized, and most importantly…thoroughly clean.
